About The Artists:

Gordon Lindsey

b. 1949

Lindsey received a BSE in Art and Public Address from Central Missouri State University. Post graduate work included Silk Screen at Denver University, The Art Students League in New York with Marshall Grasier, the Woodstock School of Art with Robert Angelock.

He has lived in New York, Denver, and Santa Fe before returning to his home state of Missouri. He is known for the Mimbres Project, a study of watercolors and oil based on the pottery of southwest people one thousand years ago.

He has also illustrated lwein, a tale of one of King Arthur’s Knights and his adventures. (25 watercolors). Article: https://iweinpmc.wordpress.com/

He also illustrated Huckleberry Finn (20 watercolors). More recently he worked with the Audubon Project studying the painting of John James Audubon (24 oils). He has had work selected for Watercolor USA five times. He has also been in Missouri Top 50 several times and has been in the MOAK exhibits three times. He has been affiliated with the Savageau Gallery in Denver and the Masden Gallery also in Denver.

He was represented at the Rosequest Gallery in Taos, NM and the Laurel Seth Gallery in Santa Fe.

Collections include the Museum of Fine Art in Santa Fe, The Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO, and Mountain Bell in Denver.

His studio is in Pleasant Hope, Missouri, where he lives and works today.

Michael McConeghy

 b. 1951He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. He got his first camera as a high school graduation gift.
He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education.

His work was first exhibited at the Fuller Lodge Art Center in the Los Alamos New Mexico.
A number of photographs were published in Chef Mark Miller’s Coyote Cafe cookbook. McConeghy has taken Best of Show in two categories at the Ozark Empire Fair.

Several of his pieces were accepted in the MOAK Four State competition sponsored by The Springfield Art Museum. Over the years seven of his photographs have been in the Missouri Top 50 competition at the Missouri State Fair which is open to all media.

Recently the Art Inspired Gallery sponsored a One Man Show of McConeghy’s work.
